Importers Security Filing (10+2) Goes Live
On Jan. 26th US Customs & Border Protection (CBP) began the penalty phase of the ISF program. Importers are required to ensure that the necessary ISF data is transmitted to CBP no less than 24 hours before the goods are loaded for export. The failure to file a complete and timely ISF can result in penalties of up to $5,000 per shipment.
